This weekend's sewing

I started piecing together the Anne's Romantic Garden which was in my To Do pile this weekend. I have nearly finished half the blocks. The other half are the same but pink instead of green. They're quite fiddly and my points and seams are all over the place. Luckily the fabrics are so "busy" it isn't too noticeable.

To take a break I've been putting together some little charm square cot quilt tops.

Very nice block - Annes Romantic Garden, very nice range of fabrics.. the baby quilts also look great, arn't charm packs just the best!!!The pups look a little sad, but I am sure once their Daddy came home everthing changed.

Grandma and Grandpa (my Mum and Dad) dropped in, so the pups were very happy and got lots of cuddles.

Your cot quilts are so sweet. Did you wash the charm squares before you stitched them?

Hi Christine, no I didn't wash the charm squares. I often don't prewash light coloured fabrics and I hate prewashing small bits of fabric like jelly strips or charm squares! I'll probably get caught out one day! I always wash dark colours though, especially browns and reds.
